The first trailer has arrived online for horror sequel The Woman In Black: Angel Of Death, in which the luckless Jeremy Irvine and Phoebe Fox descend upon Eel Marsh House…

Having stood empty for years following the events of the first film, the terrifying house is now a shelter for evacuee children spirited away from London during the Second World War.

However, they might have wished they’d taken their chances with the bombs, as Eel Marsh House isn’t the friendliest place for frightened little children.

Based on the novel penned by original author Susan Hill, this looks a suitably chilling follow-up to the original film, which was certainly effective enough, if a little over-reliant on jump-scares…

Directed by Tom Harper and co-starring Helen McCrory, Ned Dennehy and Adrian Rawlins, The Woman In Black: Angel Of Death will open in the UK on 1 January 2015.
