MEMBER CHANGES

WE HAVE MADE SOME CHANGES TO HELP THE MEMBERS HERE AT BITMETV

ALL DEAD TORRENTS (no seeder or leecher) have been removed. This gives members the opportunity to upload many torrents not here and have them appear on the front page. We believe this will greatly increase the chances of members uploading 'new' material and gaining ratio from it.

170+ NEW CATEGORIES HAVE BEEN ADDED!

Here is the breakdown......

Auto Demotion script won't kick in until 7GB have been downloaded rather than 2GB.

The amount of time one has to fix their ratio has been increased from a total of 17 days to 24 days. 

After 5 Days (up from 3) of a ratio below .50 a user gets a warning to increase their ratio above .5 in the next 9 days (up from 7 days) to avoid Muppet classification which results in a ratio requirement of .65 the max torrents also get set to 25 (up from 20). That's basically 2 weeks since they went under .50. That's an overall increase in 4 additional days to improve their ratio before it gets harder do so as a Muppet.

After the above 14 days have passed and they still have yet to get .5 ratio they are demoted to Muppet class. The new warning will tell them they have 10 Days (up from 7 days) to get to a ratio of .65 to prevent their account from being disabled. The max torrents also get set to 15 (up from 5) to help them have more choices when seeding.

For Power User and VIP Promotions/Demotions.

Power User status can now be obtained with only a minimum upload of 30GB (down from 65). To maintain the status you initially get a ratio of 1.05 and then keep that ratio above .85 (down from .95). Need to be a member for 28 days still.

VIP status can now be obtained with only a minimum upload of 50GB (down from 100). To maintain the status you initially get a ratio of 2.5 (down from 3.0) and then keep that ratio above 1.5. Need to be a member for 28 days still.
