I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday bonuses. Unfortunately however all good things must come to an end, or must they?

After the New Year last year seed point earnings were kept at 2 seed points per hour (instead of 1) and 6 seed points per hour (instead of 4) for donors. In addition the maximum number of torrents members could earn seed points on at once was also left increased at 4 (instead of 2) and 12 (instead of 10) for donors.

Holiday Bonus 2 and 3 have been removed as you'd expect, however it's not all an anticlimax just because the holidays are over. The above increases from last year will of course continue to remain in place and in addition Holiday Bonus 1 will also remain on a trial basis. This means that members will continue to be-able to download a torrent of twice the size to get the same seed point cost as before the holiday, although the minimum (8) and maximum (240) seed point cost still applies.

The minimum cost of 8 seed points will continue to apply to any torrent up to the size of 1.6 GB.
A 12 GB torrent that had a cost of 120 seed points will continue to only cost 60 seed points.
A 24 GB torrent that had a cost of 240 seed points will continue to only cost 120 seed points.
The maximum cost of 240 seed points will continue to apply to any torrent of 48 GB or greater.

For non donors any torrent less than 800 MB in size normally has a wait time of 1.5 days, otherwise the wait time is 3 days before earning seed points. Now any torrent less than 1600 MB in size will have the reduced 1.5 day wait time making more smaller torrents eligible for the reduced wait time than ever before. 

Also I thought why wait almost a year for the next bonus event? Please watch out for other bonuses throughout the year.
