Codec Changes

As part of our ongoing plan to upgrade, we are going to implement some changes over the next 24 hours which we hope will make it easier for uploading. Starting tonight, astarael is going to make some changes to the list of codecs that we are currently able to select.

His plan is as follows:
  • remove the option to select the following: VC-1, AVC, x264. These will now come under the umbrella of h.264.
  • remove the option to select the following: HEVC, x265. These will now become h.265.
  • reclassify everything that matches to h.264/h.265 respectively

While we do not anticipate any disturbance to site usage, you may experience some slight delays. The intent is to keep this to a minimum.
