Hackers release Emilia Clarke’s ‘phone number and e-mail address’

GAME Of Thrones season 7 leaks have continued, with hackers who targeted HBO now releasing the ‘phone number and e-mail address’ of star Emilia Clarke.

Cybercriminals who allegedly stole sensitive data from HBO have now released what is claimed to be Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke’s phone number.

The actress, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on the hit show, also had what is allegedly her e-mail address leaked on documents published online.

Purported numbers and e-mails addresses of Peter Dinklage and Lena Headey were also published by hackers, according to The Guardian.

The cybercriminals also published what they claimed is the script for the next episode of Game of Thrones season 7.

It comes after last week they published the script for Game of Thrones season 7 episode 4, The Spoils of War, which aired in the US on Sunday.

On Friday the full, unaired episode was leaked online - with a Google Drive link to it published on Reddit.

It was also circulated via torrents and video streaming site Putlocker.

The latest Game of Thrones data dump was accompanied by a five-minute video letter from somebody calling themselves “Mr Smith”.

Addressing HBO chief executive Richard Plepler, the hacker told the network to pay a multi-million pound ransom in three days time.

If they failed to receive the money, the hackers would put online the HBO shows and confidential corporate data they claim to have stolen.

It’s been reported that hackers have in their position unaired episodes of hit HBO shows like Ballers and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

It’s unclear if the hackers have full, or even partial sections, of upcoming unaired Game of Thrones episodes.

Game of Thrones, which is in its penultimate season, has only three episodes left of the current season 7.

The hackers have demanded a “six-month salary in bitcoin”, claiming they earn up to $15m a year from blackmailing operations.

They said they would only deal directly with the HBO boss and would send just one letter detailing how to pay.

HBO for their part have said they are continuing to investigate the issue and are working with police and cybersecurity experts.

The Guardian said hackers have released around 3.4GB data, a small proportion of the 1.5 terabytes data they claim to have stolen.

In the data dump were draft scripts from five Game of Thrones episodes, including the next instalment of season 7.

There is also a month’s worth of e-mails allegedly from HBO’s vice president for film programming Leslie Cohen.

There were also more than 50 internal documents released that were labelled “confidential”.

One document appears to contain confidential Game of Thrones cast information.

It lists personal telephone numbers and e-mails addresses allegedly for stars like Clark, Headey and Dinklage.

n a statement about the hack, HBO has said: “HBO recently experienced a cyber incident, which resulted in the compromise of proprietary information.

“We immediately began investigating the incident and are working with law enforcement and outside cybersecurity firms.

“Data protection is a top priority at HBO, and we take seriously our responsibility to protect the data we hold.”

While HBO chairman and CEO Plepler last week sent an email to employees, alerting them about the breach.

He wrote: “As most of you have probably heard by now, there has been a cyber incident directed at the company which has resulted in some stolen proprietary information, including some of our programming.

“Any intrusion of this nature is obviously disruptive, unsettling, and disturbing for all of us.

“I can assure you that senior leadership and our extraordinary technology team, along with outside experts, are working round the clock to protect our collective interests.

“The efforts across multiple departments have been nothing short of herculean. It is a textbook example of quintessential HBO teamwork.

“The problem before us is unfortunately all too familiar in the world we now find ourselves a part of.

“As has been the case with any challenge we have ever faced, I have absolutely no doubt that we will navigate our way through this successfully.”

Game of Thrones season 7 episode 4, entitled “The Spoils of War”, leaked online last Friday ahead of its intended broadcast date on Sunday.

However, sources inside HBO said the leaking of the latest GoT episode on Friday was not related to the hack, and was instead a breach at Star India.

The Fox owned company, who air Game of Thrones in India, have taken responsibility for the breach.
