The city police today busted a bogus Vigilance & Enforcement for Indian Copy Rights by arresting four people.
Police also seized net cash of 14.82 lakh, 53 appointment letters pads, 50 empty letter pads, Bio-data 130 forms, 4 walkie talkie, 3 Computer systems, 2 Printers, 10 Rubber stamps and four cars from their possession.

On credible information, North Zone Task Force team in association with Trimulgherry police arrested Ch Rathnakar (56) of Trimulgherry, Aravind Josefh (40) of Alwal, P Ramesh Reddy (47) of old Bowenpally and Ch.Satyanarayana (26) of Langer House when they were cheating the gullible unemployed youth with false promises of provide jobs in Vigilance and Enforcement for Indian Copyrights.

The accused cheated about 120 people to the tune of Rs 3 crore so far, police said.

The accused Rathnakar earlier taken the Copy Rights from Film distributors of Telugu Movies for telecast. He used to give the copy right to the local cable operators, whenever the cable operators telecast the copy right movies without his permission then he used to lodge complaint against the cable operators at concerned police stations to gain royalty. In this process he had gained some knowledge in Copy Right Act. After that he along with Josefh has established Vigilance & Enforcement for Indian Copyrights (VEIC) (Protection for Copy rights & Trademark- against of Piracy) establishment at Trimulghery, Secunderabad.in February, 2017. Their main aspect was that they should take the authorization license from the concerned companies and raid the establishment if anyone is selling or manufacturing the duplicate products on the name of Copy right products and inform the Copy right authorities, but they did not follow the rules and regulations.

To get easy money, the accused had planned to cheat the innocent job aspirants under the guise of providing jobs in Vigilance & Enforcement For Indian Copyright (VEIC) Department. They posted email ID: arvind042930@gmail.Com, and the website name is www.veic.in. When the unemployed candidates approached them and shows interest in procuring a job, they use to collect the study certificates of candidates and bio-data and demand Rs.3 Lakh to Rs 8 Lakh for the post of Sr Investigator. After receiving the amount,t hey handed over the fake appointment letter to the candidates.

The fraudsters were used to conduct interviews and select the graduates who were having some technical knowledge. After selection they conduct training for one month and appoint as Junior Investigator. As per the instructions of the accused, the candidates were used to serve the notices to the various establishments about violation of Copy Rights, Trade mark, Piracy games net zone.

The accused along with seized material handed over to Trimulghery Police Station for further action, police added.
