I'd like to let you all know that you now have the choice of browsing DTN with either http or https.
To activate https simply vist your Control Panel > Change Profile  check the Force SSL box, add your password to make changes.
Now for the downside as the source that DTN uses was never written from day one with https in mind due to the developers not really having a clue as to how a torrent site should function.
So if you are using Firefox for example the site may look kind of oos when you switch on https. 
Firefox will panic as it doesn't like some of the scripts that are part of the site source that DTN uses, entirely safe but Firefox isn't happy nevertheless.
If you really want to use Firefox and not keep having to click to allow the scripts you can use an addon Click Here
