ven the Hulk has to humble himself once in a while. After accidentally livestreaming audio from the first 15 minutes or so of Thor: Ragnarok at the film's world premiere on Tuesday night (Oct. 11), star Mark Ruffalo has tweeted an apology for his inadvertent leak.

Ruffalo joked about the mishap at first, saying in one tweet that he "snuck (the fans) in" via his phone because he "felt bad you weren't there with me." He also replied "I'm working on it" when one follower asked if he still had a job in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But then he wrote, "All kidding aside... I’m sorry @marvel. Can I have my phone back?"

Ruffalo had switched on his Instagram Live account so that he could capture some of the audience response as the cast hit the stage at Hollywood's El Capitan Theatre right before the film began. But he apparently forgot to turn it off, and even though the phone was in his pocket and no actual images from the movie could be glimpsed, some 2,500 people following his livestream were clearly able to hear the movie until it finally turned off.

It's not clear whether it turned itself off or Ruffalo was alerted about it and stopped the app manually. Fans at the premiere were actually required to check their phones at the door to prevent any possible piracy, but apparently this did not extend to the cast -- although perhaps Marvel should change that policy going forward.

The truth is that this was probably nothing more than a moment of embarrassment for Ruffalo, and we're pretty certain he still has his job playing Bruce Banner and the Hulk (they have a big future, after all). But maybe Marvel should hold onto his phone until Avengers: Infinity War comes out ...
