Important Notice to uTorrent Users


uTorrent is still making headlines, this time for a major security breach affecting all versions.


Details on the fault


- To users of uTorrent 3.x. The security hole has been fixed in the latest version of this branch. In a few days, we will ban ALL versions of uTorrent 3.x below the current version, 3.5.3. Please make sure to update your version.


- To users of uTorrent 2.x. You should follow this procedure to make sure you are not affected by the security hole. We advise you to find a newer client since sooner or later you will have no choice but to change.


- To users of uTorrent 1.x and uTorrent MAC. The fault does not seem to concern you.




We therefore reiterate our advice at all times. You should sincerely think you find another customer than uTorrent.


qBittorrent is an open source client available on all platforms. Very powerful and easy to use.
Flood is fine and strangely like uTorrent, so you would not be out of place to change for him. It is also available for any platform.
Tixati is also doing a very good job.
