Site News 5.0 - ACM Gets a Feature Bump!

 

Dear community,

With summer now on us and the Tokyo Olympics keeping us cheering for our countrymen and women, we would like to take some time to share some site updates and changes we hope will improve your user experience.

As most of you have noticed by now, we have upgraded the site to the latest version of UNIT3D which introduced a number of bug fixes as well as some new features like the helpdesk. Below you will find a list of all the major changes.

As with any upgrade we are aware there may be some new bugs that will need to be fixed so please don't hesitate to let us know if you come across them.


Changes as of 2021-07-31

- New Mediahub feature: browse TV shows, movies, persons, genres, networks, companies and collections
- Better-looking torrent pages (with colorful headers)
- Improved torrent search
- Movies and TV shows now display original titles, network and company (if set in TMDB)
- Visited torrents now have a different color =
- Better breakdown of your stats in profile pages
- Lots of styling/frontend fixes and optimizations
- Preview descriptions without page reload when uploading a torrent
- Links automatically become clickable when you paste them to forums, comments or torrent descriptions
- RSS feeds now have different titles in XML
- About Me field in your profile is no longer limited to 500 chars and supports BBcode (same as forum signature)
- Torrent bookmarking works without page reload
- Security fixes and improvements


Developer Recruitment

The staff is currently looking for talented programmers to help continue the site development. If you are a coder and have enough experience working with PHP and the Laravel framework, please contact us ASAP. We need all the help we can get in order to keep the site running bugs/issue free.


Staff Recruitment

The team is currently in need of more torrent and forum moderators as well as administrator(s). If you are interesting in helping keep ACM fun and community-friendly, you can sent us a message using the helpdesk.


Donations

We know most of you don't like hearing about donations for many reasons but we truly need your support more than ever. From the start, the site has been almost fully funded by the sysop. Unfortunately, due to financial reasons, he is no longer able to continue supporting the site on his own. Our infrastructure is very costly so wee need you, the community, to come together and help us keep ACM running for years to come.
