Despite what the rumor mill might have to say about Jay Z and Beyonce's marriage, the pop star may have subtly responded to chatter in a new Instagram photo posted on Saturday (August 9).

 

In the snapshot, Beyonce is wearing a jersey with the name "Carter" printed across the back. Of course, Jay's given name is Shawn Carter. She paired the look with no pants, a thick gold chain necklace and gold bangles. The jersey also features the number "4" on it, which in the world of Beyonce means quite a lot.

 

The number is not only a reference to both of Beyonce's and Jay's birthdays (Bey born September 4, while Jay was born on December 4), but also their wedding anniversary (April 4). She also released an album, 4, in 2011.

Beyonce and Jay Z wrapped up the first leg of the "On The Run" tour earlier this week in San Francisco. They will play two dates in Paris on September 12 and 13. Those final two dates will be featured in the couple's upcoming HBO concert special, which will air on the cable network on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
