El Dasa Tops Regional Mexican Albums Chart

Regional Mexican singer El Dasa reaches the Billboard album charts for the first time as Alegre y Enamorado opens at No. 2 on Latin Albums and No. 1 onRegional Mexican Albums with 2,000 sold in the week ending Aug. 10, according to Nielsen SoundScan. El Dasa first reached a Billboard chart when song "Mentirosa" peaked at No. 14 on Regional Mexican Airplay in December 2012, while also reaching No. 32 on Hot Latin Songs. Current single "Mi Amiga, Amante, Amor" peaked at No. 9 on Regional Mexican Airplay on the July 12, 2014, chart.

Cartel de Santa Arrives: Ten years after recording its first album, Mexican rap act Cartel de Santa makes its first foray into the Latin Albums top 10 as Golpe Avisa arrives at No. 4 with a rounded-off sum of 2,000. The title concurrently topsLatin Rhythm Albums. The band's only other appearance on both album charts was with Sincopa, which reached No. 67 on Latin Albums and No. 12 on Latin Rhythm Albums.

'No Me Pidas Perdon's' Big Move: After failing to reach the top 10 of Hot Latin Songs with its first four charting songs, Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizarraga has now reached the upper regions of the list with three straight entries. Current track "No Me Pidas Perdon" soars 16-10 as the Airplay Gainer (up 22 percent in audience impressions, according to Nielsen BDS) and follows "Hermosa Experiencia" (No. 5 peak in April) and "Mi Razon De Der" (No. 1 peak in November 2013).
