The first trailer has arrived for Focus, in which Will Smith and Margot Robbie play con artists with a romantic attachment that brings trouble for both of them.

Smith plays the wily old con who brings Robbie into his world, only to shut her out again when things get too serious. Then some three years later, she walks back into his life and turns things on their head…

Unfortunately for Smith, her reappearance comes right in the middle of his most ambitious, and dangerous, con to date. Not the best timing when his game needs to be at its sharpest.

From the synopsis, we had expected something a little more lightweight than this first trailer promises. Sure, it looks as slick as you’d imagine, but it also seems as though there’s some weight behind the lead characters too…

Directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa and co-starring Rodrigo Santoro and Gerald McRaney, Focus will open in the UK on 27 February 2015.
